City council converges on wide range of topics
The Hutchinson City Council was short-handed at Tuesday’s meeting with Mayor Greg Fast and Jon Richardson absent, but it did not deter discussion on a wide range of issues affecting Hutchinson Tuesday at its regular council meeting.
Public Works Director Brian Clennan, accompanied by nine members of his staff, addressed the city council following Vice Mayor Stacy Goss reading a proclamation declaring this week as National Public Works Week.
Amy Conkling with the Recreation Commission was up next to follow Goss who read a proclamation declaring this week as National Bike Month.
The city council unanimously agreed to a request of support authorizing city staff to submit a nearly $1 million federal grant application for a downtown safety project.
