Prairie Land Realtors opens new office
Prairie Land Realtors has a new home in Hutchinson after relocating from 12th and Main Street to 524 East 30th Avenue.
Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors stopped by the new quarters at 4 p.m. Tuesday and lined up in front of the building for the traditional ribbon cutting.
Prairie Land Realtors is no stranger to Hutchinson and may rank as one of the oldest organizations in the city having opened its doors 104 years ago in 1920. As is typical of most groups, the organization has undergone several name changes during its history. Most recently, in 2015, because of a merger with similar organizations in McPherson and Pratt, the name was changed from the Hutchinson Board of Realtors to Prairie Land.
Following the ribbon cutting, the public was invited inside to view a large meeting room, which includes an archival history of old photos, newspaper clippings and scrapbooks meticulously preserved to showcase the history of real estate.
